North American Custom Guarantee Universal Life Insurance to Be Discontinued

Effective February 21, 2025, North Amerian’s Custom Guarantee Universal Life Insurance will no longer be available for new sales. Be prepared to offer clients an alternative like the Protection Builder IUL 2 for guaranteed death benefit coverage.

Custom Guarantee Universal Life insurance to be discontinued

As part of ongoing efforts to streamline North American’s products to the most competitive offerings, they will discontinue sales of Custom Guarantee Universal Life Insurance (CGUL) effective February 21, 2025, in all states.  

Important Dates

• Applications
  • All applications for CGUL, whether for new business, conversions, or internal replacements, must be signed by February 21, 2025, AND received by the administrative office by February 28, 2025. After February 28, they will no longer accept applications for this product.
• eApplication and Illustration Software
  • As of February 22, 2025, you will no longer be able to initiate a new eApplication for CGUL, and Web illustrations will only be available for revised illustration purposes. The CGUL will eventually be fully removed from their eBusiness platform and marketing materials.

The Protection Builder IUL 2 is an alternate option for your clients looking for a guaranteed death benefit life insurance product.
