Nationwide – Interest Rates Are Up

From Nationwide

IUL rates are going up! Higher S&P 500® cap rates in Nationwide Marathon IUL Accumulator II 2020 and higher par rates in New Heights IUL, effective Sept 15, 2022

Interest rates are up, and so are cap and par rates, effective Sept 15, 2022. We are putting the recent interest rate increases to work for our IUL policyholders.

When? September 15, 2022.

What does it look like?

  • Nationwide Marathon IUL Accumulator II 2020 and many of our older IUL products (even those with guaranteed multipliers) will have higher cap rates on the uncapped S&P 500 indexed interest strategies.
  • Nationwide New Heights IUL Accumulator and Nationwide New Heights IUL Accumulator 2020 will add an additional 5% to the current participation rates on select indexed interest strategies – even though some already have a high par rate.

These increases mean that starting August 16, 2022, any premiums going into those indexed interest strategies with changes will benefit from the higher cap and par rates. Check here for more detail on Nationwide Marathon IUL Accumulator II 2020 and Nationwide New Heights Accumulator products.
